Brand Origins
In 2003, a group of entrepreneurs with years of experience in the traditional plastics industry identified two critical challenges facing plastic sheets in the eyewear sector through extensive research:
- Stagnant Innovation: Traditional plastic sheets were limited to basic colors like black and brown with simplistic textures, failing to meet consumers' growing demand for personalization.
- Lagging Sustainability: Hundreds of millions of eyeglasses are discarded globally each year, wmany of which are made of non-biodegradable materials, creating severe ecological burdens.
Their revelation: 'Eyewear shouldn't just be functional—it must color sustainable lifestyles with attitude.'
Thus, they embarked on their entrepreneurial journey, converting an abandoned warehouse into a factory, self-funding equipment purchases, and founding Jin Yu Plastic Products Co., Ltd. in Wenzhou, China.
Upholding the vision of building a nationally renowned plastic sheet enterprise recognized by the industry, the company stays true to its original aspiration of deeply engaging in the sector and supporting the development of the eyewear industry.
Facing early technical hurdles, the founders conducted relentless research and testing. After experimenting with over 300 formulations, their first cellulose acetate sheet production line was officially launched in the winter of 2003.
This experience laid a solid foundation for the company's rapid growth, establishing "environmental protection, color, and innovation" as core drivers, with a focus on developing and producing high-end acetate sheets.
Technological Exploration, Innovation, and Expansion
Jin Yu continuously upgraded its website and developed an Intelligent Color Modulation System, enabling precise color matching and providing designers with end-to-end technical support from concept to mass production.
- 2005: Introduced international automated production lines to triple production capacity, meeting the industry's growing demand.
- 2007: Established a branch in Yingtan (Yingtan Jin Yu Plastic Products Co., Ltd.), adopting advanced WET BLOCK technology to upgrade to top-tier diversified materials. In 2016, it was integrated into the national-level eyewear industry cluster (Yujiang District).
- 2011: Obtained environmental approval, completed a 2,000-ton/year acetate sheet production line, and was awarded the title of "Famous Product in Zhejiang's Eyewear Industry."
- 2015: Completed the first intelligent production line renovation.
- 2020: Certified as a "Zhejiang Provincial Specialized, Sophisticated, Differential, and innovative Enterprise" with over 50 patents.
- 2021: Invested in adding several new intelligent production lines for cellulose acetate sheets. Named one of Zhejiang's first high-tech enterprises.
- As of 2025, Jin Yu has focused on the R&D, production and sales of plastic materials for eyewear, continuously consolidating its presence in the industry market.
Global Sales Network and Service Centers
- 2004: Established the Global Service Promotion Center in Shenzhen, China, with a multilingual customer service team offering domestic and international consulting, reducing communication costs and enhancing efficiency.
- 2006: Expanded service centers to Japan, Italy, Jiangxi, and Jiangsu, launching cross-border trade. and gradually built an overseas service and sales network .
- Since 2006: Participated in international industry exhibitions to provide customers with convenient communication channels and diverse product options.
